I saw this when I was doing my two (2) weeks Archaeological Field School training in January 2015 in the backwaters of Jamaica. I was touched by this scene of neglect and disregard. I was told that all the metal fittings from the sugar factory was stolen for scrap metal trade, the remaining crumbling stone structure here has huge trees growing in its centre. A small section of the property is still operational, as a pasture, talk about palimpsests.
